Children planted maples at Klonowa Aleja
On Saturday children from two Warsaw’s orphanages took part in a family picnic organized by Orco Property Group, at the building site of new residential settlement Klonowa Aleja. Children had a chance to learn a bit of ecology and how to plant trees labeled with their own names. The trees planted during the picnic will grow by the windows of future residents. The event was hosted by Zygmunt Chajzer.
Over 70 people attended the picnic including clients, Orco employees with their families and representatives of the municipal authorities. The head of City of Warsaw Promotion Department - Katarzyna Ratajczyk also planted her tree at Klonowa Aleja.
Zygmunt Chajzer, a popular kids star led an ecologic quiz, in which children from Orphanage 10 turned out to be the winners. Both teams were awarded. After a short lesson of tree planting, children could use their newly acquired knowledge in practice. Each little maple was labeled with the name of its planter. This physical activity whetted children’s appetites so the refreshments were served. Next, young participants had an educational walk with a PTTK guide through the forest next to Klonowa Aleja - Park Leśny Bródno.
